I hope you are all thawed out from the central New York winter that we are all enduring. Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow on 2/2, which assures us an early spring this year! So break out those spring jackets and put away the snow shovel!
We hope to see you at our upcoming presentation on Wednesday, 2/27, at the East Syracuse DoubleTree. Michael Morrison of ACI national will be in town to explain to us how the current and future ACI Certification Programs will work. From the time the first ACI Certification Program was offered 35 years ago (concrete field testing technician program), almost 600,000 professionals have pursued ACI Certifications. This presentation will be hugely beneficial to anyone considering any type of ACI Certification. This presentation will offer AIA continuing education credits.
Among the new and future programs that will be covered are:
We encourage you to bring your business card with you! After the presentation, Michael will draw a lucky winner who will receive a FREE one-year subscription to the on-line ACI Manual of Concrete Practice – the most comprehensive and authoritative concrete reference set available – which is a $795.50 value! What better way to kick off spring than a chance to win such a valuable prize?
One quick update about our yearly awards banquet coming up on 4/3 – the application deadline for award entries has come and gone. We have received entries for three excellent concrete projects and four outstanding masonry projects to judge this year. As we have done every year, we would like to cordially invite ALL members of the project team to attend the banquet! Our award candidates have put together thoughtful entry forms and taken the time to pore through and submit many photographs of each project. We hope that you can join us to give them the recognition that they deserve! Registration for this event will open in March.
Thanks and see you soon!
